A Doctor of Chiropractic has undergone 7 years of post-secondary education including four years at an accredited chiropractic institution, receiving more than 4,200 hours of specialized clinical training. That depends on your condition, but most cases do not require an x-ray. Research has shown for the majority of back and neck pain cases X-Rays are not helpful in diagnosis or treatment. If you do require an X-Ray you will be given a requisition to a CMA. CMA is an X-Ray clinic with many locations throughout Ottawa. Your X-Ray will be covered by OHIP.
